Meet Billy
Billy Burk is a local construction and real estate developer, who together with his wife GiGi Gaubert Burk, own and operate multiple firms encompassing areas of construction and real estate that include development, consulting, general contracting/building, transaction brokering and investing. Their primary market is residential, however they contribute significantly to the industrial and commercial markets as well.
Together with their team of skilled, experienced, and enthusiastic staff, they have developed over $250 million and sold over $225 million since their beginnings back in 2000. Billy’s primary focus is currently on residential single-family home developments, both speculative and custom builds. Their greatest accomplishments, however, lie within the many relationships created and ongoing relationships among clients, employees, agents, co-workers, investors, vendors, subs, and many others.
Billy has a civil and environmental engineering degree from Vanderbilt University and holds licenses as a residential general contractor, a commercial general contractor, and a professional engineer. Burk Property Investments, LLC, located in Lakeview, is his primary business. Other businesses include BPI Home Builder, LLC, BPI Construction, LLC, Burk Construction & Development (DBA), Starlight Studios, LLC, and Burk Engineering and Management, Inc. He is also a proud partner in GiGi’s primary, and very successful, business, Burk Brokerage Real Estate.
Billy and GiGi are blessed with four children, Lacey, Ellie, Maddie and Beau, and reside with their dog, Roux, on Bayou St. John in New Orleans, where they were both raised.
