Using Cast Iron Piping

Why Use Cast Iron Pipes?

At our current project, 6544 Vicksburg, we are using cast iron piping for our plumbing drainage lines that come through the first-floor walls from sinks, toilets, and other fixtures on the second floor. The cast iron pipe reduces drainage noise that comes from flushing the toilet, washing your hands, or taking a shower. The reduction in sounds makes it overall more comfortable in the living space.

Cast iron pipes are also safer than most other types of piping. They are resistant to fire! Another great advantage of cast iron pipes is that they are an affordable option to install and require minimal effort after installation.
Cast iron is a strong piping material because it doesn’t deflect under heavy loads. Therefore, makes them ideal for above-ground plumbing systems because it secures them against high winds and heavy rains!
